Choice Home Warranty

Terrible Company

It is extremely difficult to contact customer service. When that happens, the representatives are often misinformed. The coversge amounts are not broken down. For example, the policy ssys the plumbing stoppage that was diagnosed is covered. The representative told me the maximum amount of coverage for that issue is $1500. The cost was $653. CHW feels that payment in the amount of $135 is acceptable. When you file a claim, there is no emergency service. I had to wait so long for a technician to replace a pipe my floor sustained water damage, regardless that I was constantly removing the water. They will often decide to pay to replace an appliance rather than repair it. The amount they offer for replacement would cover about 25% of the actual cost. The technicians they provide are far from the best. Many technicians have told me that CHW is a difficult company to work with and they are not willing to pay a fair wage. I don’t have enough time to write a complete review. Unfortunately, I can’t think of one positive thing to say. You need to hace a lot of time to deal with the flawed process of CHW.

This is the worst

This is the worst, most unethical company I’ve ever dealt with. Our Water Heater broke. The Technician came out and confirmed it was covered. Choice Warranty claimed that there were an additional $1,400 in installation fees we would have to pay because of items they considered uncovered during the normal replacement of our water heater. Examples were the need for a second technician. This was a 75-gallon water heater, and it’s standard practice to have two technicians replace it due to its considerable size. Even though there is nothing in their contract stating that a second technician is not covered, they charged us for him and would not proceed with the claim until we agreed to the charge. The 3rd party technicians who installed the new water heater confirmed that Choice is by far the worst warranty company they deal with, to the point where they said they would most likely not be doing repairs for them in the future.

I submitted a claim for bathroom…

I submitted a claim for bathroom faucet. Technician came submitted for the repair. Choice Home Warranty haggled with the technician about the price to fix. When the technicians price wasn’t low enough for Choice Home Warranty, they denied the claim.
