Select home warranty is a scam
Based on my experience, I feel that Select Home Warranty does not provide the coverage they promise. When I purchased the policy, I was told that paying the service fee would ensure everything else was taken care of. However, when I filed a claim, I was informed that only the part was covered and I would have to pay for the labor myself. This important detail should have been disclosed upfront. Given this, I recommend considering Home Shield instead, as I believe your money would be better spent elsewhere.

I was denied service for a leaky…
I was denied service for a leaky faucet. They said they don’t cover hardware. This was very disappointing as I did not ask for a replacement, just wanted the leak repaired which might involve a small valve replacement. Also, about 3 years ago I was a denied a plumbing repair in my casita because they said I didn’t specify the casita when I signed up. I told them my house was a total of 3100 square feet which includes the casita. Their prices are low for a reason, they deny claims. It’s kind of crazy that a simple plumbing repair is denied yet if my water heater blew up they would replace that. Doesn’t make sense.

This warranty company is a scam
This warranty company is a scam. Had signed up with them, called on my ac. Sent a tech out who did barely anything-my unit is not even 8 years old. Looks brand new. He was here for five minutes and basically said it was my compressor and I need a new unit. My compressor is still under warranty. He told me I’m with a warranty company that doesn’t like to pay for heating or air claims. See t home warranty sure enough de led the claim. I cancelled with them, they stated I was cancelled immediately and took my monthly payment out the same day and won’t refund. They are harassing me for a 75$ cancellation fee as well. No one speaks English when you call there, and there is a whole facebook page dedicated to this company and their scamming. I have also contacted the Better Business Bureau.
